  • The article discusses how wastes could be valuable resources to make cities efficient and sustainable. It is noted that waste from one process could become raw material for another. It is noted that reducing each waste stream and managing it as a resource can solve multiple problems and would create a more sustainable future for people. It is noted that making cities smart is an alluring objective for planners to accommodate higher densities of people without compromising quality of life.
