    • The article informs that popularity of probiotics has grown so much that manufacturers have added microorganisms to cosmetics and mattresses, but there have no evidence of known benefits of it to healthy people. It is noted that consuming probiotics can boost the ability of already well-functioning native bacteria to promote general health is dubious as particular strains of Bifidobacterium or Lactobacillus typically found in many yogurts and pills cannot survive in highly acidic environment.
