  • The article discusses, issues related to making cities sustainable. The author believes that adopting three key principles including equating waste with food; maximizing use of solar income and celebrating diversity could help people to move towards a positive future. It is noted that urban designers assess geology, hydrology, vegetation and climate and discover appropriate patterns for the development of the landscape.
