Resumen de Síndrome de lipodistrofia en pacientes con VIH/Sida

  Determinar el síndrome de lipodistrofia  (SLD) en pacientes con VIH/SIDA atendidos en la consulta de SIDA/ITS del Hospital Universitario “Dr. Miguel Oraá” de Guanare Venezuela. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, ambispectivo en pacientes con VIH/SIDA que recibieron terapia antirretroviral combinada, Los datos fueron recolectados de las historias clínicas y directamente de los pacientes.  Se valoraron 80 pacientes con edad promedio 36,6 ± 12,0 años. El tiempo de uso de la terapia antirretroviral combinada varió (menos de 3 años hasta 15 años).

  To determine lipodystrophy syndrome (LDS) in HIV/AIDS patients attended in consultation the SIDA/ITS in the University Hospital “Dr. Miguel Oraá”, Guanare, Venezuela. A descriptive, ambipesctive study was conducted in a group of HVI/AIDS patients who received a combined anti-retroviral therapy. The information was collected from the clinical history and interviewing the patients. Eighty (80) patients were assessed; the mean age was 36.6 ± 12.0 years. The length of time using the combined anti-retroviral therapy varied (from less than 3 years to 15 years).
