  • South Africa-based Bushveld Minerals is bullish about its expectations for the developing energy storage market and is keen to scale up its capacity for vanadium mining and processing to serve the static battery industry. Storing energy is a crucial step in bringing self-sufficiency to remote or off-grid areas; it also plays a role in the shift from the use of fossil fuels toward renewable resources, in conjunction with sustainable energy production. Energy focus As part of its focus on VRBs, the group set up subsidiary Bushveld Energy to look at the broader energy storage sector and to handle the further processing aspects of the vanadium battery supply chain.
