Conflictividad intraétnica en la frontera de Mendoza hacia fines del siglo XVIII: la pugna entre Millanguir y Rayguan

  • En la frontera de Mendoza, durante la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII, la disputa entre diferentes parcialidades indígenas implicó la negociación constante con las autoridades coloniales para lograr su apoyo en los enfrentamientos. En base a esta situación particular, que se incluye en el contexto general de reformismo borbónico, presentamos la documentación de la Colección Cabrera relativa a este tema, puesto que permite conocer más en profundidad la conflictividad en esta frontera, así como reflexionar sobre las estrategias utilizadas por Amigorena, en el caso puntual del enfrentamiento entre Millanguir y Rayguan. Intraethnic conflictivity in Mendoza’s frontier at the end of the eighteenth century: the dispute between Millanguir and Rayguan ABSTRACTIn Mendoza’s frontier, during the second half of the eighteenth century, the struggle between different indigenous groups involved a constant negotiation with the colonial authorities in order to gain their support during the confrontations. Taking into consideration this particular situation, that is included in the general context of the Borbonic reforms, we present documentation from Colección Cabrera regarding this topic, because it allows us to know more in depth the conflictivity in this frontier and also reflect about the strategies used by the Commander Amigorena in this particular case of the dispute between Millanguir and Rayguan.
