  • The company's magnesia carbon bricks facility in Germany is being acquired by Intocast, the group that is also taking over RHI's dolomite operation in Italy and refractory plant in Spain.

    Brazilian refractory supplier Magnesita Refratarios SA is also to sell its magnesia carbon bricks business at Oberhausen to Intocast AG for a EUR 20.3m tag price ($24.4m), the company announced in September.

    Magnesita entered into an agreement with Intocast for the selling of the Oberhausen operation as part of the same condition imposed by the European Commission when it sanctioned the merger proposal.
