Resumen de La imagen de San José Itinerante en el Santuario de Nuestra Señora de la Luz

  Resumen: En el Santuario de Nuestra Señora de la Luz Coronada, en Tarifa, se venera un conjunto escultórico fechable en el siglo XVIII, formado por las imágenes de San José y el Niño Jesús. Se encuentraactualmente expuesto al cultoen una repisa a los pies de la nave del Evangelio, pasando desapercibido, pese a su indudable valor artístico y patrimonial.Para ello, tras realizar un breve recorrido histórico a través de la devoción e iconografía de San José, examinaremos en qué textos se basa ésta para las distintas representaciones, refiriendo algunos ejemplos donde aparece el santo Patriarca en nuestra localidad. A continuación, basándonos en el análisis estilístico e iconográfico de ambas imágenes, daremos a conocer finalmente su origen, concluyendo con un acercamiento a su posible autoría.

  In the sanctuary of Our Crowned Lady of the Light, in Tarifa, is venerated a sculptural set that can be dated in the 18th century, formed by the images of Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus. It is currently exposed to worship on a shelf at the feet of the nave of the Gospel, going unnoticed, despite its undoubted artistic and patrimonial value.To do this, after making a brief historical tour through the devotion and iconography of Saint Joseph, we will examine in which texts this one is based for the different representations, referring some examples where the Holy Patriarch appears in our town. Then, based on the stylistic and iconographic analysis of both images, we will finally reveal their origin, concluding with an approach to their possible authorship.
