    The article aims to discuss the revelation in the space that is constructed between saying and not saying about God; between the constitutive need to understand God and the impossibility of speaking of Him in an absolute way. It proposes a metaphor (the epistemology of the filter) to understand the process we call revelation, assumed within the limits of language. From the understanding of God as an event, as suggested by John Caputo, the article proposes a fragile epistemology, capable of constructing a dialogical theology, in which the concepts and formulations are sheltered and not imprisoned by the one who, although understood in language, is not left reduce it.

    O artigo pretende discutir a revelação no espaço que se constrói entre o dizer e o não dizer sobre Deus; entre a necessidade constitutiva de se compreender Deus e a impossibilidade de se falar dele de forma absoluta. Propõe uma metáfora (a epistemologia do filtro) para se compreender o processo que chamamos de revelação, assumido dentro dos limites da linguagem. A partir da compreensão de Deus como evento, tal como sugerido por John Caputo, o artigo propõe uma epistemologia frágil, capaz de suscitar uma teologia dialogal, em que os conceitos e formulações sejam “albergue” e não “cárcere” daquele que, embora compreendido na linguagem, não se deixa por ela reduzir.
