    La anexión ilegal de Crimea por parte de Rusia en 2014 terminó de manera abrupta con el orden europeo que surgió tras el final de la Guerra Fría, al violar flagrantemente los principios fundamentales de la Organización para la Seguridad y la Cooperación en Europa (OSCE), definidos en la Carta de París de 1990. Las actuales tensiones entre Rusia y Occidente han provocado que su trabajo sea cada vez más difícil, aunque en los últimos años se ha podido apreciar un cierto renacimiento de la organización, que continúa lastrada por la falta de voluntad política y consenso entre sus Estados participantes. Se precisan pues iniciativa y creatividad para poder reconstruir un clima de confianza y cooperación que será beneficioso para todos, un papel que la OSCE podría desempeñar.

    The illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia in 2014 ended abruptly with the European order that emerged after the end of the Cold War, flagrantly violating the fundamental principles of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), defined in the Charter of Paris of 1990. The current tensions between Russia and the West have made its work increasingly difficult, although in recent years a certain renaissance of the organization has been observed, which continues to be hampered by the lack of political will and consensus among its participating States. Initiative and creativity are therefore needed to rebuild a climate of trust and cooperation that will be beneficial for all, a role that the OSCE could play.
