Hegemonia panhispánica, polítiques lingüístiques i drets indígenes a Mèxic

    Malgrat la promulgació de la Llei general de drets lingüístics dels pobles indígenes l'any 2003, a Mèxic, la discriminació i desigualtat lingüística continuen en el deixant de diverses formes d'operació del panhispanisme, concepte que serà abordat des dels estudis sociolingüístics produïts a Espanya, però també des d'una mirada postcolonial. Basant-nos en la noció de glotopolítica analitzarem les polítiques de la llengua a Mèxic davant dues tradicions, la castellanització i l'indigenisme, a fi de comprendre millor la complexitat del procés sociolingüístic mexicà en diferents etapes de relacions històriques de dominació i exercici del poder: ideologies lingüístiques i tensions entre parlants i institucions.

    In spite of the enactment of the General Law on Linguistic Rights of Indigenous People in Mexico in 2003, discrimination and linguistic inequality still exist in the remainder of various forms of operation of pan-Hispanism, a concept we will approach on the basis of sociolinguistics studies carried out in Spain, as well as from a postcolonial point of view. Starting out from the notion of glottopolitics, this article addresses the language policies in Mexico deriving from two traditions: castilianization and indigenism. The goal is to better understand the complexity of the Mexican sociolinguistic process in different periods of historic relations of domination and exercise of power: linguistic ideologies and tensions between speakers and institutions.
