La finalidad de este trabajo es estudiar el texto Arte de Construcción de fray Pedro Masústegui. En esta obra, Masústegui, siguiendo la estela de la preceptiva humanista que hunde sus raíces en la retórica clásica, nos ofrece una gramática para poder traducir y construir oraciones correctamente del latín, lengua que le sirve de modelo, al español. Por lo que este libro se ha de concebir como un compendio de fundamentos gramaticales de dicha lengua clásica.

The aim of this work is to study the text Arte de Construcción by Fray Pedro Masústegui. In this piece, Masústegui, following the lead of the rethoric-based humanist precepts which has its roots in classical rhetoric, offers a grammar for correctly translating and building Latin phrases, a language which serves both as model to Spanish. Therefore, this book has been conceived as a summary of grammar foundations of said classic language.
