  O objetivo desta pesquisa foi descrever a estrutura da população e avaliar os efeitos da endogamia sobre peso corporal em diferentes idades em caprinos Anglo Nubiana. Foram utilizados dados de pedigree de 1.104 animais nascidos de 1980 a 2010. O programa Endog foi utilizado para analise do pedigree e estimação dos parâmetros populacionais. O efeito da endogamia foi verificado pelo teste t, avaliando contraste por meio de uma sub-rotina do aplicativo MTDFREML. Do total de animais estudados, 85,96% apresentaram pedigree na primeira ascendência, 41,51% na segunda e 15,82% na terceira. O coeficiente médio de endogamia (F) e de relação (AR) foi de 1,1% e 3,14% respectivamente. O número efetivo de animais fundadores e de ancestrais foi igual (29). Os 11 principais ancestrais explicaram 50% da variância genética total. Depressão endogâmica significativa foi encontrada para PN, P56, P140 e P168 dias de idade.

  The aim of this research was to describe the population structure and evaluate the effects of the inbreeding on the body weights at different ages in Anglo Nubiana goat. Pedigree records of 1,104 animals, which were born from 1980–2010, were used. The program Endog was used for pedigree analysis and estimations of populations parameters. The effect of inbreeding t test was verified by evaluating contrast through a subroutine MTDFREML application. From the total number of animals syudied, 85,96% had pedigree in the first ascendancy, 41,51% in the second, and 15,82% in the third. Average inbreeding coefficient (F) and relationship coefficient (AR) of the population were 1,1% and 3,14% respectiely. The effective number of founder animals and ancestral was the same (29). Approximately, 50% of total genetic variance was explained by the 11 most influential ancestors. Significant individual inbreeding depression was found for both traits (BW, 56W, 140W and 168W) days of age.
