La matemática y el sentido común crítico en la escuela

    Se realizó una investigación cualitativa y reflexiva con revisión documental, para dar elementos sustentables que permitan explorar algunas relaciones que se establecen entre la matemática y el sentido común crítico en la escuela. Se parte de la deconstrucción de la proposición de la modernidad, donde se privilegia las teorías de la matemática en desmedro del sentido común en la escuela. La matemática y el sentido común crítico establecen correspondencias de interdependencia; éste último otorga unas intuiciones que se perfeccionan mediante la puesta en escena del pensamiento crítico, donde la ciencia formal cobra preeminencia. Las ideas previas se ubicarán en el terreno de la enseñanza de la matemática. Se apuesta en esta investigación por el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico más allá del mecanicismo estricto de la matemática, así como por inmiscuirla en la cotidianidad del estudiante y lograr que la aborde también desde su sentido común crítico.

    A qualitative and reflexive research along with a bibliographic revision is made in order to provide sustainable elements that lead to explore some relations that take place between Mathematics and the critic common sense in school. It starts from the deconstruction of the thesis of modernity, where the theories of mathematics are privileged to the detriment of the common sense in school. The Mathematics and the critic common sense establish correspondences of interdependency; the former bestows intuitions that are improved through the incorporation of the critic thinking, where formal science becomes preeminent. These ideas will be placed in the field of the teaching of Mathematics. This research stands behind the development of the critic thinking beyond the strict mechanism of Mathematics and including it in the student’s everyday life and so in the critic common sense.
