    A fines del siglo veinte, el Partido Comunista del Perú-Sendero Luminoso se convirtió en una de las organizaciones más radicales de la izquierda peruana. Su poderío llegó a desestabilizar al poder legítimo e hizo de la violencia revolucionaria el fundamento de la lucha de clases. Este acontecimiento dio lugar para que la sociedad fuese restaurada por medio de la represión y se impulsara una lógica de acumulación capitalista basada en el neoliberalismo. Con base en ello, en el presente artículo, sostenemos que Sendero simboliza un punto de ruptura con la tradición política de la izquierda y permite imaginar otros procesos de emancipación que van más allá del poder estatal. Asimismo, sienta las bases para repensar la teoría marxista, así como el papel fundamental del sujeto revolucionario, hoy.

    At the end of the twentieth century, the Communist Party of Peru- Shining Path became one of the most radical organizations of the Peruvian left. Its power came to destabilize the legitimate power and made revolutionary violence the foundation of the class struggle. This event gave rise to the restoration of society through repression and the promotion of a logic of capitalist accumulation based on neoliberalism. Based on this, in the present article, we argue that Shining Path symbolizes a point of rupture with the political tradition of the left and allows us to imagine other processes of emancipation that go beyond state power. Likewise, it lays the basis for rethinking Marxist theory, as well as the fundamental role of the revolutionary subject, today
