Resumen de O imperialismo na América Latina e a atualidade da Teoria Marxista da Dependência

No artigo em questão realiza-se breve exposição do conceito de imperialismo a fim de se problematizá-lo à luz das categorias analíticas constitutivas da teoria marxista da dependência. O propósito principal é apontar a relevância da Teoria Marxista da Dependência para a compreensão do capitalismo periférico latino-americano na contemporaneidade, conferindo o devido destaque às elaborações econômicas e políticas no âmbito do pensamento de Ruy Mauro Marini. Para tanto, procedeu-se minuciosa leitura da produção intelectual de Marini e, em seguida, realizou-se a exposição dos principais conceitos e categorias desenvolvidos pela Teoria Marxista da Dependência, tais como os de subimperialismo e superexploração da força de trabalho. Metodologicamente, as reflexões engendradas amparam-se no materialismo dialético, o qual está contido tanto na problematização acerca da atualidade da Teoria Marxista da Dependência quanto no cerne das formulações por ela própria perscrutadas.

This article presents a brief exposition of the concept of imperialism in order to problematize it based on the analytical categories designed by the Marxist dependency theory. The main purpose is to point out the relevance of the theory to understand the peripheral Latin American capitalism in contemporary times, giving due importance to the economic and political elaborations within the framework of Ruy Mauro Marini’s thoughts. Close reading was carried out on the intellectual production of Marini, and the main concepts and categories developed by the Marxist dependency theory - such as those of sub-imperialism and super-exploitation of the workforce - were then exposed. In terms of methodology, the reflections were based on dialectical materialism, which is contained both in the problematization of the actuality of the Marxist dependency theory and in the core of the formulations that it has examined.
