    Il contributo si compone di due parti. La prima intende precisare la struttura della nosologia delle patologie psichiche che Kant propone nel Versuck über die Krankheiten des Kopfes. Tale nosologia è costituita da due serie, ordinate in ordine crescente, l’una relativa alle manifestazioni sociali della follia, l’altra alle sue manifestazioni individuali, che interessano in modo specifico le facoltà dell’anima. Cercheremo di dimostrare che esiste una connessione tra le due serie, e di illustrare in che modo essa avvenga. La seconda parte del contributo, invece, intende mettere in discussione la tesi secondo cui Kant avrebbe fornito nel Versuch un’eziologia sociale delle patologie psichiche. Mostreremo, a dispetto di questa tesi, come la società crei le condizioni solo per il manifestarsi di queste patologie, e non per il loro prodursi, che dovrà invece essere ricercato nel corpo.

    This contribution consists of two parts. The first aims to clarify the structure of the nosology of psychopathologies that Kant proposes in the Versuck über die Krankheiten des Kopfes. Such nosology consists of two series, arranged in ascending order, one relating to the social manifestations of madness, the other to its individual manifestations, which specifically concern the faculties of the soul. We will try to demonstrate the existence of a connection between these two series, and to illustrate how this occurs. The second part of the contribution, on the other hand, intends to question the thesis according to which Kant in his Versuch provided a social aetiology of psychopathologies. We will show, in spite of this thesis, how society creates conditions only for the manifestation of these pathologies, and not for their production, which must instead be sought in the body.
