Düring the 19* Century the Kingdom of Piedmont- Sardinia had a constant interchange with the Kingdom of Prussia. In particular, Friedrich Carl von Savigny was elected member of the Academy of Sciences in Turin on January 30th, 1833. His correspondence with the important Piedmontese statesman Federico Sclopis is published here in the original French language. The themes tackled in these letters are the literary works of both correspondents, the civil marriage, the pre-Justinian sources and the eventual exchange of young teachers between Piedmontese and Prussian universities. Furthermore the text analyzes the irrigation regulations in Piedmont, and the State of the Italian universities during the 19* Century.
