En este trabajo analizamos la donación de los Reyes Católicos a Alonso de Carvajal en la villa de Zújar (Baza). Este capitán sirvió a los monarcas en la Guerra de Granada. Fue enviado posteriormente a las tierras del reino de Nápoles para luchar junto al Gran Capitán. Allí tuvo un enfrentamiento con el contador Mexía que había desafiado a su señor don Alonso de Carvajal. D. Alonso envió a unos escuderos de su capitanía para que dieran muerte al contador. Uno de ellos fue Antonio Sánchez de Sarajosa. Este dio muerte a Mexía pero fue castigado por el Gran Capitán que ordenó cortarle la mano derecha. Esta situación lo inutilizó para la guerra. Don Alonso en pago le donó las propiedades que tenía en la villa de Zújar. Los documentos, pleitos, presentación de testigos, etc., han permitido reconstruir los bienes urbanos y rústicos donados, su procedencia, ubicación, superficie y otros aspectos que nos ayudan a ver el período de la repoblación y lo ocurrido después.

In this work we analyze the donation of the Catholic Kings to Alonso de Carvajal in the village of Zujar (Baza). This Captain served to the monarchs in the War of Granada. He was subsequently sent to the lands of the Kingdom of Naples to fight alongside the Great Captain. There, He had a confrontation with the counter Mexia, who had challenged to his Lord don Alonso de Carvajal. D. Alonso sent to some Squires of his captaincy to give death to the counter. One of them was Antonio Sánchez de Sarajosa. This gave death to Mexia but was punished by the Great Captain that ordered cut him the right hand. This fact did to D. Alonso unusable for the war. Don Alonso donated to Antonio Sánchez his properties that had in the village of Zujar as a payment for that fact. The documents, lawsuits, presentation of witnesses, etc., have allowed to us to rebuild the goods urban and rustic donated, their origin, location, surface and others aspects that help us to see the period of the repopulation and after.
