  Para poder investigar sobre la historia de Vejer de la Frontera es necesario estudiar la documentación notarial existente, asentada en los libros de Protocolo. En este caso atenderemos a un tipo concreto, los testamentos, concretamente del año 1543. Por ello en este trabajo se propone realizar un breve análisis de los documentos desde una perspectiva múltiple: paleográfica, diplomática e histórica, que nos servirá de base para futuros trabajos sobre la historia de la localidad.

  In order to investigate the history of Vejer de la Frontera, it is necessary to study the existing notary documentation, based on Protocol books. In this case we will deal with a specific type, the wills, concretely of the year 1543. Therefore in this work it is proposed to make a brief analysis of the documents from a multiple perspective: paleographic, diplomatic and historical, that will serve as the basis for future works about the history of the locality.
