Resumen de Viabilidade econômica do milho (zea mays) para grãos em plantio direto no sistema integrado de produção em recuperação de pastagens

  It was intended to evaluate the economic feasibility of the component corn in integrated system in no-tillage planting for either the formation or recovery of pasture in degraded areas of slopes, with chemically depleted soils in Piranga region-MG. The average results of ten experimentation units established in the year of 2008 in similar areas and utilizing the same technology were surveyed. The average value of corn production was not enough to cover the effective operational cost (COE) of the system (Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu + corn), there being, therefore, negative gross margin (R$356.20/ha). Nevertheless, in deducting from the COE of the system (R$1,685.20/ha) the COE unique to the pasture, (R$ 1,123.80/ha), which does not depend upon the presence or not of the corn, the COE unique to corn (R$561.40/ha) is obtained; and considering the average gross income (R$ 1,329.00/ha), less the corn COE (R$561.40/ha), the gross margin is positive (R$ 767.60/ha). The system proves viable as a method of establishment or renewal of pasture with low COE. Some agronomic adaptations will promote improvements for the system in quantitative and qualitative terms.

  Objetivou-se avaliar a viabilidade econômica do componente milho em sistema integrado, em plantio direto, para a formação ou recuperação de pastagens, em áreas degradadas de encostas, com solos quimicamente empobrecidos, na região de Piranga-MG. Analisaram-se os resultados médios de dez unidades de experimentação implantadas no ano de 2008, em áreas semelhantes e utilizando a mesma tecnologia. O valor médio da produção do milho não foi suficiente para cobrir o custo operacional efetivo (COE) do sistema (Brachiaria brizantha cv. Marandu + milho), havendo, portanto, margem bruta negativa (R$356,20/ha). No entanto, ao deduzir do COE do sistema (R$1.685,20/ha) o COE exclusivo da pastagem (R$ 1.123,80/ha), que independe da presença ou não do milho, obtém-se o COE exclusivo para milho (R$561,40/ha); e considerando a receita bruta média (R$ 1.329,00/ha), menos o COE do milho (R$561,40/ha), a margem bruta é positiva (R$ 767,60/ha). O sistema demonstra-se viável como método de formação ou renovação de pastagem com baixo COE. Algumas adaptações agronômicas promoverão melhorias para o sistema, em termos quantitativos e qualitativos.
