Resumen de What's Good for the Group.

Steve Mirsky

  • This article discusses debate surrounding the role played by group selection in the genetic evolution of species. Research into group selection, referred to as multilevel selection theory, by the evolutionary theorists E. O. Wilson and David Sloan Wilson is considered. Rival explanations of group selection, which maintain that there is a connection between multilevel evolution and the desire to preserve one's own genetic material, are also considered.
