    Las relaciones entre las comunidades judías y los concejos municipales en la Edad media hispánica suelen ser caracterizadas por la historiografía como hostiles y signadas por competencia, actuando las oligarquías concejiles como los principales actores de rechazo hacia la comunidad judía y, más específicamente, hacia su elite.Este trabajo tiene como objetivo centrarse en el caso de la comunidad judía de Toledo durante el siglo XIV y examinar las modalidades a partir de las cuales la misma se relacionó con el concejo municipal de la ciudad, atendiendo, a su vez, a la intervención de la monarquía en este entramado. Para ello, utilizaremos material tanto historiográfico como documental, valiéndonos, para este último caso, de la recopilación de fuentes realizada por Pilar León Tello.

    The relationship between Jewish communities and the municipal councils in the Hispanic Middle Ages is usually characterized by historiography as hostile and marked by rivalry. It is often stated that the oligarchies mastering the councils were the main actors behind the rejection of Jewish communities and the attacks on their elites. This work analyses the case of the Jewish community of Toledo during the 14th century. The aim behind this is to explore the modalities in which it related with the authorities of the city municipal council, without leaving aside the impact of monarchical interventions. To do so, we will conduct a review of historiographical and documentary material available.
