    El presente trabajo pretende demostrar que la “Crónica” de Hidacio, la fuente principal para el estudio de las Hispanias en el siglo V, es insuficiente para documentar las transformaciones religiosas que tuvieron lugar en su época. Especialmente la extensión del cristianismo y la desaparición de los cultos paganos en el norte peninsular, debido a su claro interés por dejar al paganismo fuera de su obra, principalmente con el silencio informativo sobre “los dominios de los dioses”.

    The following essay proves that the “Chronic” by Hidacio, which is the main source for the study of the “Hispanic” in the Vth century, is insufficient for documenting the religious changes that took place in that era. Specially for the disappearance of the pagan cults and expansion of Christianity in the north of the peninsula, because of his clear interest in erasing the paganism out of his work, particularly the “dominance of the gods” through informative silence.
