Resumen de Operation Sophia: a point of inflection in the migrant smuggling in the Mediterranean Sea
The naval military Operation Sophia, launched in 2015 by the EU, is one of the initiatives that endeavour to combat human trafficking and international crime in the Southern Mediterranean. The aim of this chapter consists of, on one hand, to analyze its funcions and dysfunctions, and on the other hand, to demonstrate, froma "Comprehensive approach" that this operation could signify an inflection point in the EU security and defence ambit.
