El deseo de muchos por poseer fragmentos de nuestra historia y la aspiración de unos pocos de investigar, pero sin un rigor científico y sin conciencia de la destrucción que implica extraer los restos sin metodología, es algo característico de la isla de La Palma desde hace siglos. En estas líneas haremos referencias sobre las numerosas colecciones, privadas y públicas, formadas por numerosos restos arqueológicos de todo tipo donde el expolio está presente en casi todas ellas.

The desire of many people to obtain fragments of our history and the aspiration of a few people to investigate but without a scientific method and without conscience of the destruction that involves to extract the remains without methodology, this is something characteristic of the island of La Palma since centuries ago. In these lines we will make references on the numerous collections, private and public, formed by numerous archaeological rest of all type where the looting is present in almost all of them.
