El Museo Bíblico y Oriental de León conserva entre sus fondos una colección numismática grecorromana procedente de Egipto y Próximo Oriente Antiguo, que ha sido estudiada por los alumnos de lengua griega del Instituto Bíblico y Oriental de León. El conjunto de monedas está datado entre los años 332 a. C. al 408 d. C. La colección está compuesta por 36 monedas pertenecientes a los períodos ptolemaico, griego, romano y al periodo bizantino.

The Museo Bíblico y Oriental de León preserves among its heritage a Greco- Roman numismatic collection proceeding from Egypt and the Ancient Near East, which has been studied and analyzed by the Ancient Greek-language students of the Biblical and Oriental Institute of Leon. The set of coins is dated from the years 332 a. C. to 408 d. C.
The collection consists of 36 coins belonging to the Ptolemaic period, to the Greek, to the Romanand to the Byzantine period.
