Drones: una manera de ver

    Mirar desde arriba, mirar desde lo alto sin escalar; subir o volar es un acontecimiento recientemente extendido entre los seres humanos. Los drones están cambiando las posibilidades de nuestra manera de ver, mirar y observar. En este trabajo no nos detendremos en los usos para vigilar y castigar desde y a través de drones que desde hace tiempo se utilizan en todo el planeta. Nos proponemos introducirnos en dos rasgos de las prácticas del ver sobre los cuales la existencia de los drones impacta directamente: (A) las prácticas sociales asociadas a sus usos, (B) como vehículos para la investigación social. Para lograr dicho objetivo hemos dividido nuestra exposición de la siguiente manera: (a) explicitamos los rasgos de la Sociedad 4.0 como superficie de inscripción del «fenómeno dron»; (b) sintetizamos una aproximación al dron desde sus usos; (c) esquematizamos algunas pistas sobre el uso de los drones en la investigación social y; (d) abogamos por la necesidad de comprender la importancia de estas nuevas maneras de visualización. El trabajo finaliza advirtiendo una vez más sobre la importancia de pensar sistemáticamente las transformaciones de las experiencias de lo próximo y lo distante como vivencias centrales del siglo XXI.

    Looking from above, looking from the top without climbing. Going up or flying is an event recently extended among the human beings. Drones are changing the possibilities of our way of seeing, watching and observing. In this paper we will not stop on the surveillance and punishment uses from and through drones which have been in use throughout the planet for a long time. We aim to get ourselves into two traits of the practices of the seeing over which the existence of drones impacts directly: (A) the social practices associated with their uses, (B) as vehicles for social research. In order to achieve this goal we have divided our presentation in the following way: (a) we make explicit the features of Society 4.0 as inscription surface for the «dron phenomenon»; (b) we synthesized an approximation to the drone from its uses; (c) we outline some clues about the drones usage in social research and; (d) we plead for the need to understand the importance of these new ways of visualization. The paper ends warning once again about the importance of systematically thinking the transformations of the experiences of the near and the distant as central experiences of the 21st century.
