Resumen de Patrimonio, renta y ahorro de las familias españolas

El artículo ha pretendido ofrecer una primera aproximación al stock de capital real de las familias españolas, partiendo de las investigaciones del IVIE. Ello permite estimar el patrimonio neto global -real y financiero de las familias- y ponerlo en relación tanto con el comportamiento de consumo, como del ahorro, aportando una nueva variable que completa la explicación de la actuación económica de las familias en las diferentes fases del ciclo económico, a lo largo de las fases características de la evolución económica global. La renta familiar disponible se sigue revelando como la variable más influyente sobre el consumo de las familias.El artículo traza unas pinceladas sobre la interconexión entre ahorro, activos financieros, activos reales y endeudamiento familiar.

The purpose of the article is to offer an initial approach to the real capital stock of Spanish families, starting from the research ofthe IVIE. This allows us to estimate the overall net worth -real and financial- of families and thereby relate it to the behaviour of both consumption and saving, so that we have a new variable available to supplement the explanation of the economic performance of families at different phases of the economic cycle in the course of the characteristic phases of global economicevolution. Available family income continues to show itself as the variable with the greatest impact on family consumption. The article broadly outlines the interconnection between saving, financial assets, real assets and family borrowing.
