Las intervenciones militares internacionales en Siria e Irak, en un principio para eliminar al Estado Islámico, están configurando una nueva realidad regional que implica nuevos riesgos y enfrentamientos futuros, pero también nuevas oportunidades para viejos problemas. ¿Podrá la expansión de la amenaza iraní servir de acicate para que los enemigos de siempre se conviertan en amigos?, ¿podrá Israel evitar los conflictos militares que amenazan sus fronteras?, ¿encontrarán los palestinos el líder que necesitan para unirlos y negociar un acuerdo de paz con Israel?, ¿funcionaría el acuerdo de paz que prepara la Administración norteamericana de Trump?

The State of Israel turns 70 years old, and despite the current moment of great changes in the Middle East, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict still has not been solved since 1948. The international military interventions in Syria and Iraq, initially to eliminate the Islamic State, are shaping a new regional reality that implies new risks and future confrontations, but also new opportunities for old problems.
Can the expansion of the Iranian threat serve as an incentive for enemies as usual become friends? Can Israel avoid the military conflicts that threaten its borders? Will Palestinians find the leader they need to unite them and negotiate a peace treaty with Israel? Would the peace agreement that is being prepared by the US Trump´s administration work?
