  • Resumen
    • Leo Strauss is closely associated with Greek sources, but his work includes several considerations of Roman politics. In these discussions, Strauss praises Roman skill in acquiring and deploying power. Some scholars take Strauss's favourable remarks about Rome as evidence of his sympathy for fascism. This paper argues that Strauss was making a different point: that cultivation of a 'Roman' attitude towards politics was necessary to Jews seeking to recover their state.
