La BIBLIOFAM: programa psicoeducativo familiar para el tratamiento del adulto mayor con diabetes tipo 2

    El siguiente trabajo tuvo como objetivos implementarun programa psicoeducativo familiar en el tratamientodel adulto mayor (AM) con diabetes tipo 2 (DM2), através de un diseño metodológico de caso clínico conréplica, con pre y post test, se aplicó a 5 familias, losresultados muestran que hubo modificaciones en losindicadores metabólicos, calidad de vida, autoeficacia–con relación a la línea base inicial– pero no así en lavariable de la mejor configuración familiar y desgastedel cuidador, que repercutiera en un cuidado másadecuado del AM, por lo que se requiere en futurasaplicaciones observar su impacto otorgándole un ran-go de tiempo más extenso en el seguimiento, para laverificación de su eficacia así como para garantizar laconsecución del proceso cognitivo en el cual se basa lateoría del aprendizaje significativo de Ausubel.

    The aim of this study was to implement a familypsychoeducational program in the treatment of olderadults with type 2 diabetes (DM2), through a clinicalcase method design with replication, with pre and post-test, applied to 5 families, the results show that therewere modifications in the metabolic indicators, qualityof life, self-efficacy –in relation to the initial baseline–but not in the variable of the best family configurationand the burned out caregiver, that would haverepercussions in a care more adequate in the elderlypeople, so that in future applications it is necessary toobserve its impact, granting a longer time range in themonitoring, for the verification of its effectiveness aswell as to guarantee the achievement of the cognitiveprocess on which the Significant learning theory ofAusubel.
