Resumen de «Nadie está aislado de nadie.» Descripciones prescriptivas de los Otros en la Sierra Tarahumara

La finalidad de este artículo es problematizar la noción de aislamiento mediante la cual algunas poblaciones que han habitado la Sierra Tarahumara han sido descritas prescriptivamente y, por tanto, exponer cómo ha sido una premisa para ejecutar prácticas concretas desde el siglo xvii hasta el presente. Una de las metas es producir un marco general donde las relaciones que el Estado mexicano ha establecido particularmente con los rarámuri durante los siglos xx y xxi sean entendidas como un vínculo de alteridad.
Otorgaruna profundidad temporal a la reflexióndesdeuna perspectiva antropológica permitirá cuestionar esta noción de aislamiento desde el punto de vista de los Otros.

The aim of this article is to problematize the notion of isolation that has prescriptively described some of the peoples who have inhabited the Sierra Tarahumara. The article shows how this characterization has served as a premise for governments to impose specific harmful practices on the Rarámuri people from the seventeenth century to the present. Another aim is to produce a general framework for understanding the relations that the Mexican state has established with the Rarámuri as bonds of otherness. Both historical and anthropological perspectives allow for questioning the paradigm of isolation from the point of view of the “Others.”
