El objetivo de este artículo apunta a problematizar la práctica “naturalizada” de la dirección de tesis a partir de aportar algunas lecturas teóricas que ayuden a delimitar conceptualmente este tema de interés y a su vez, orienten un primer rastreo empírico a partir de algunas entrevistas realizadas a directores de doctorandos. Los fragmentos discursivos, elegidos como ejemplos, sirven para ilustrar los aportes teóricos y avanzar en la conformación de un objeto de investigación centrado en “la práctica del director de tesis”. A partir de este entramado conceptual y empírico, aspiramos a esbozar algunos tipos de saber del director que se despliegan en la relación formativa conformando un tema central para la Pedagogía Doctoral.
This article aims to discuss the supervisor´s PhD practice from the point of view of some theoretical readings. They will help to conceptually delimit the subject and at the same time they will guide the first empirical data that have been collected from a few interviews to PhD supervisors. The discursive pieces, that has been chosen, will be useful to illustrate the theoretical contributions and will also help to move on the research object construction which is focus on the PhD supervisor´s practice. From this conceptual and empirical framework we aim to outline some of the supervisor ´s knowledge types that appear in the training relationship that builds up the core issue ofthe Doctoral Pedagogy.
