    Este artículo toma como eje de análisis la construcción de un mundo narrativo en “Pierre Menard, autor del Quijote”, en el cual se da un borramiento de fronteras de la categoría autor, así como de una serie de binarismos que regulan la comprensión de significados en la literatura. Este borramiento sucede por la ambigüedad que existe en el relato por medio de recursos como ironía, puesta en abismo, metaficción, quiasmo, reversibilidad, autoficción, entre otros; elementos identificados en el estilo de dicho texto y que se explican en el presente trabajo.

    The focus of this article’s analysis is the construction of a narrative world in “Pierre Menard, autor del Quijote”, in which there is a fading process of the borderlines of the status of author as well as a series of binarisms that rule the comprehension of meanings in literature. This fading process happens because of the ambiguity existing in the story telling by means of some resources such as irony, mise en abyme, metafiction, chiasmus, reversibility, autofiction, among others; this elements are clearly identified in the style of the above mentioned short story and are explained in this paper.
