The evolution of the relationships between new shipbuilding contracts and deliveries shows with clarity the slowdown of the over dimensioned shipyards output all over the world. The article gives the picture of the present situation with reference to the different ship types of the market. The scenario remains still gloomy, except in the case of the cruise ships. Nevertheless, some improvement starts to be perceived.
