    La construcción de un recinto amurallado en el Cerro del Castillo (Bernardos, Segovia) en los momentos iniciales del siglo v es el punto de partida de este artículo en el cual analizamos los hechos que debieron propiciar su construcción en el corredor del Eresma. En un segundo momento, analizamos el desarrollo del hábitat del cerro y al mismo tiempo, la evolución del espacio en torno al mismo río.

    Th e construction of walls in the Cerro del Castillo (Bernardos, Segovia) at the beginning of the 5th century is the starting point of this paper. Later, we analyze the facts that might have favoured its construction in the corridor of the river Eresma. Second, we analyze the development of the habitat of the Cerro del Castillo and, at the same time, the population evolution of the area of the river Eresma.
