  • Resumen
    • Rarely have a few broken bones proved more controversial. Last week, an international team of archaeologists and geologists suggested that an ancient, broken mastodon skeleton found in California means early humans had reached the New World roughly 130,000 years ago. If true, this revolutionises their understanding of the past, as the majority view is that the Americas remained unpeopled until about 15,000 years ago.
