A new device lets people whisper in the ear of someone up to 30 meters away. The wearable tech uses ultrasound to beam someone's words directly to an individual without anyone else overhearing. Its inventor, Asler Marzo at the University of Bristol, UK, says that later versions could help soldiers communicate without alerting anyone to their presence. It could also be used to help divers talk over long distances.
