  • The article presents information related to modern languages including a calendar of events, professional announcements, and professional research initiatives. The conference Cultures and Languages Across the Curriculum (CLAC) will take place in Richmond, Virginia from September 19-20, 2013. Professor Carol Chapelle has received the International Language Testing Association (ILTA) Lifetime Achievement Award. The state of Hawai'i held a Hawaiian language summit in March 2013.
