  • The article announces that the 2012 British Association for Applied Linguistics (BAAL) book award was given to Graham Hall for "Exploring Language Teaching: Language in Action," the British Academy of Social Sciences has named Christopher Candlin, Paul Meara, and Srikant Sarangi Academicians, and that the Chinese Language Teachers Association (CLTA) has awarded Galal Walker the 2012 Cheng and Tsui CLTA Walton Lifetime Achievement Award.
