  • The article presents the author's personal views and reflections regarding the status and trends of applied linguistics scholarship as of the Winter of 2010, drawing on his experiences as an editor of a research journal. The author presents a brief history of his journal "Language Teaching Research" and explains its editorial policy and procedures.
