  • The article presents the authors' personal views and reflections regarding the status and trends of applied linguistics scholarship as of the Winter of 2010, drawing on their experiences as editors of an open access research journal hosted in the Internet. Details are given describing the features of their journal, outlining its accomplishments along with mentioning the challenges they faced in managing it.
