  • The article presents the authors' personal views and reflections regarding the status and trends of applied linguistics scholarship as of the Winter of 2010, drawing on their experiences as editors of a research journal. The authors focus on the accomplishments and goals of their journal, the impact of globalization on linguistic research, and issues of inequality in access.
