  • The article presents information about language and linguistics studies. A calendar of linguistics conferences is presented which includes the Association of Departments of Foreign Languages (ADFL) Summer Seminar East from June 11-14, 2009 in Providence, Rhode Island. The American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) has launched an Internet radio channel. Irina Elgort was given the 2007 Christopher Brumfit Ph.D./Ed.D. Thesis Award.
