    El papel de los líderes universitarios para la incorporación de las TIC en sus Centros no resultará sencillo de ejercer, ya que los mismos se deben enfrentar a cambios significativos a nivel científico, económico y tecnológico que determinarán en gran medida el éxito de esta integración. El objetivo de esta investigación fue describir los procesos de incorporación de las TIC en el contexto de la Universidade da Coruña. Los participantes del estudio fueron los directivos de todos los Centros de la UDC. Se presenta una investigación cualitativa, siendo las técnicas de recogida de datos empleadas la entrevista y el análisis de documentos. Los directivos consultados han impulsado la incorporación de las TIC en todos los centros de la UDC, sin embargo coinciden en que han existido algunos problemas para la integración de estas herramientas en sus Centros, entre los cuales se encuentran la insuficiencia de equipos, la ausencia de un personal especializado que pueda solucionar los problemas técnicos, y falta de formación en el profesorado en el uso de TIC. Los directivos de la UDC se comprometen en continuar asumiendo las responsabilidades que les compete para lograr una docencia de calidad a través del uso intensivo de las TIC.

    El The role of university leaders in the incorporation of ICT in their Centers will not be easy to exercise, since they must face significant changes in scientific, economic and technological level that will determine to a large extent the success of this integration. The objective of this research was to describe the processes of incorporation of ICT in the context of the University of Coruña.

    The study participants were the managers of all the Centers of the UDC. A qualitative research is presented, being the data collection techniques used the interview and the analysis of documents.

    The managers consulted have promoted the incorporation of ICT in all the centers of the UDC, but they agree that there have been some problems for the integration of these tools in their Centers, among which are the insufficiency of equipment, the absence of A specialized staff that can solve the technical problems, and lack of teacher training in the use of ICT. The directors of the UDC are committed to continue assuming their responsibilities to achieve quality teaching through the intensive use of ICT.
