La crítica hernandiana ha insistido en la importancia de la imagen y la metáfora en las octavas de Perito en lunas . Si bien este aspecto es evidente en la versión defi nitiva, estudiar el proceso de creación —aquí lo haremos con la octava “(Palmero)”— nos permite ver cómo Miguel Hernández construía y desarrollaba esas imágenes y metáforas hasta llegar a la versión defi nitiva teniendo como objetivo crear un texto exento de vacilaciones. El estudio de este proceso interno de la escritura nos permite establecer conexiones y diferencias con poemas de similar temática pertenecientes a la misma etapa y anteriores, y asimismo comprobar cómo el escritor formó redes intertextuales entre sus propias composiciones

Hernandiana criticism has emphasized the importance of image and metaphor in the octaves of Perito en lunas. While this aspect is evident in the final version, to study the process of creation —here we ́ll do the eighth “(Palmero)”— it allows us to see how Miguel Hernandez built and developed these images and metaphors to reach the fi nal version taking designed to create a free text hesitation. The study of this internal process of writing allows us to establish connections and differences with thematically similar poems belonging to the same stage and earlier, and also see how the writer intertextual networks formed between his own compositions
