Resumen de ¿Qué se espera de una tesis de doctorado?: breve introducción sobre algunas cuestiones y expectativas en torno a la formación doctoral

  Este artículo tiene por finalidad presentar las distintas dimensiones (disciplinar, subjetiva, vincular, institucional y social) que se entraman en la producción de una tesis en el contexto institucional de un doctorado universitario y analizar en detalle algunas cuestiones específicas que se derivan de las dimensiones subjetiva y vincular.

  Por un lado, se profundiza, sobre la dimensión subjetiva vinculando la tarea de investigar, que debe realizar un estudiante, con la noción de “relación con el saber”. Este abordaje permite esbozar algunas cuestiones abiertas relativas a cómo concebir la investigación y cómo iniciarse en el aprendizaje del oficio de investigador.

  Por otro lado, la dimensión vincular de la tesis posibilita la reflexión sobre el “mutuo acuerdo” que encierra la relación formativa entre tutor y estudiante de doctorado. Se enuncian algunos posibles criterios para que esta elección resulte acertada y enriquecedora.

  Finalmente, se enuncian algunas afirmaciones que permiten concebir a la tesis doctoral como el “testimonio” de los cambios identitarios y profesionales que atraviesa el estudiante de doctorado en vistas a convertirse en “autor” de los saberes nuevos que produce, a partir de su investigación realizada.

  This article aims to present different dimensions (institutional, disciplinary, social, subjective, and constituent relationship), that mix up in the production of a doctoral thesis, and also to analyse some details related to the subjective and relationship dimensions.

  With this purpose it studies the subjective dimension of the thesis by depth, connecting the student’s research work of investigated and the subject of “the relationship with the knowledge”. This approach allows us to give an introduction to some open issues related to the matter on how to conceive an investigation and the process of learning the researcher “métier”.

  To sum up, the relationship dimension of the thesis enables an analysis of the mutual agreement between tutor and student. Some criteria to aboard the mutual choice student-tutor are proposed.

  In the last part of the work, we try to emphasize the significance of the doctoral thesis as a proof of the identity and professional changes of the student towards an "author" for the production of new knowledge.
