    Since 1988, when the journal Hermès first came out, the “digital landscape” has seen profound changes leaving the world of telematics behind for that of the Internet and then of “digital technology”. The latter is a transversal and interdisciplinary topic of study, which the journal Hermès examines from the point of view of the relationship to modernity and otherness and of relationships between information and communication, between technology and society, with a view to eschewing any naturalisation of the concept.

    Depuis 1988, année de naissance de la revue Hermès, le « paysage numérique » a connu de profonds bouleversements, quittant le monde de la télématique pour celui d’Internet, puis « du numérique ». Objet d’étude transversal et interdisciplinaire, il est interrogé dans Hermès sous l’angle du rapport à la modernité, à l’altérité, des relations entre information et communication, entre technologies et sociétés, pour ne pas céder à sa naturalisation.
