Resumen de Identidad y transculturización en el folclor musical chileno

  Lo que hoy en día llamamos música chilena es una música que se alimenta de una transculturización que va en aumento y que evoluciona a diario. Como consecuencia de esto, el folclor chileno se ha visto invitado a participar de creaciones musicales vanguardistas, contemporáneas y, sobre todo, populares. Para entenderlo, es necesario abarcar ciertas interrogantes sobre identidad chilena, aceptando que las identidades nacionales nunca han sido algo estático o permanente, sino que han ido cambiando y transformándose en la historia. Posteriormente, para poder dilucidar las interrogantes sobre identidad musical chilena, debemos ir a sus inicios y comprender cuál ha sido la hibridación que ha experimentado con el tiempo, permitiendo esclarecer el origen de nuestras músicas tradicionales.

  What we call Chilean music today is a music that feeds on a transculturization that is increasing and evolving daily. As a consequence of this, Chilean folklore has been invited to participate in avant-garde, contemporary and, above all, popular musical creations. To understand it, it is necessary to cover certain questions about Chilean identity, accepting that national identities have never been something static or permanent, but have been changing and transforming into history. Later, in order to elucidate the questions about Chilean musical identity, we must go to its beginnings and understand what hybridization it has experienced over time, allowing us to clarify the origin of our traditional music.
